The best things in my life are definitely the people that fill it but I’d like to share some favorite ‘stuff’ too…

This granola is so yummy!  It isn’t too sweet and the almonds are huge!  They’ve started carrying it at Sam’s, too :)  Without a doubt, my palate is pretty simple…I’m almost always satisfied with yummy soups, sandwiches & good-for-you cereal.  Never did I expect to just be muching on this stuff dry, though!  I add a few more craisins and it’s ‘good to go’ for that 3:00 afternoon snack. -m-

clean flicks

I was trying to think of some ‘hanging out at the house’ things to do so I signed up for cleanflicks.com – they’re movies that are edited to take out the profanity, violence, etc.  I live in my little happy bubble of weddings & cute children and honestly, that stuff bugs me (i know, I’m a nerd) so I’m thrilled to be able to see some of the movies I’d wanted to but hadn’t because the R-rating probably meant ‘this will make Melanie blush’.  Just going to do it for a few months but here’s what’s in our ‘queue’ to be sent: crash, amelie, wedding crashers, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, the constant gardener, love actually & girl with a pearl earring

bring on the popcorn & junior mints :) -m-

P.S. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

jason’s birthday!

Tomorrow is my sweet husband’s birthday!  And pending another day of no child labor, we’ve got reservations at Holly Hill Inn for dinner (I’ve been eyeing the menu for the last few minutes & have already decided on the salad  of Woodford County field greens, gratin of handmade farfalle & lemon torte).

Oh, and the baby update (since I’ve been getting tons of notes about that): If Audrey doesn’t decide to come on her own, I’m scheduled for induction on the 24th so at most it will be just one more week!  The maternity leave that I started this week has been amazing.  It’s one of the few times in your life when you’re allowed to sort of hibernate and take things nice and slow so I really want to relish the little break from everything and rest up for the road ahead!  -m-
