natalie + jimmy

where do i start? first, take a close look at the program shot and you’ll get a glimpse of the wreath on the church doors in the background! and can you see the polka dotted ribbon? it set the scene for all the fun in store for the rest of the day. jimmy & natalie are beyond terrific – i was so happy when i got the news they were engaged (i’d photographed them before at a family member’s wedding just a few months prior).
on the wedding day, they shared a private moment together before everything started and i’m so happy they let me be there to photograph it…time and time again, these are some of my favorite photos of the year. i think it’s pretty typical to start planning a day with the expectation that you won’t see one another before the ceremony but if you want a good solid list of pro’s and con’s you should definitely have a pow-wow with a planner like Mackenzie Spalding. and the thing is, hands down, it’s my brides’ favorite part of the day.
okay, so back to natalie & jimmy…did you notice that her dress is pink? every detail was fun, and her guests had the best time because THEY were having the time of their lives! after the ceremony, they ducked inside a parlor at central christian while guests lined up for a petal toss and natalie kept saying, "we’re married!, we’re married!" over and over again with her typical sweet exuberance but x100. certain words come to mind when i think of clients and for them it’s "devoted". so happy to have been invited to another marshall wedding! -m-
