i’ve been so impressed with this association for wedding planners – if you’re thinking of having a planner (and believe me, it’s SO worth it! let me know and i can give you a short list of who i think you’ll love) definitely check to see if they’re a part of this group.  i appreciate
that continuing education is a big part of ABC.  All my favorite planners happen to be ABC members!

got a new ‘purse’ camera (the one I keep with me most all the time) a little while ago, and after using for
a few weeks, i heartily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new point and shoot.  i also got a cute little memory card that goes right into a usb drive!

their way to casa mauer.  as an aside, i recently saw that another photographer had listed me on her blog as the ‘martha stewart of photography’…although i hope i’m the friendly sweet version, i was totally flattered!) but as a hopeless devotee to aesthetically pleasing order, i think she might be right ;)   -m-

i made this a couple months ago for audrey’s birthday and wanted to share :) happy memorial day…we’ll be back in the office thursday. -m-

we were so revved up for this wedding!  and it was such a great day – brandon and amanda are awesome…just hoping they invite me to photograph their 50th anniversary party (i’ll have to make sure i stay in shape so i can handle a big heavy camera then!) because i know they’ll have a great one!!  have a great memorial day weekend! -m-

hi there!  just checking in to let you know that we’ve taken off the html version of our web page because the calendar was inaccurate (it wasn’t reflecting my week day openings for portraits until October!) so, in case you’ve been wanting to set up a session and thought i didn’t have a single spot until the end of October, you can breath a sigh of relief..i’m busy but that would be crazy!!  so looking forward to the great summer season!  warmly, -melanie-

words can’t describe how flattered i am when a client refers a friend to me for photography.  and it’s the way mmp has grown since day one…from friend to friend.  wendy & jason are friends with a super terrific wedding couple that i adore (jason was actually *in* the wedding party) so it was tons of fun to get to know them better.  small world, wendy went to high-school with my sister-in-law, too :)  these two are great – so comfortable together and thankfully just as comfortable with me recording this really wonderful engagement time for them.  so now of course, i’m totally smitten with them and hope i get to see them again and again (i’m keeping my fingers crossed that they have plans for a darling holiday card photo every year). 

okay, so now to unveil some big news…there’s a lovely face that will be a permanent fixture around mmp as of TODAY!  cassidy has been a huge part of mmp for 2 and a half years and i couldn’t bear to be without this recent graduate so she’ll be here part-time extending what my two hands can do :) um, to say i’m excited would be a big understatement – i’m getting ready to pick up balloons to fill the office for her first day of work.   i’m new to this  ‘employer’ thing but i think it best to err on the side of exuberance :)  cassidy, welcome to mmp ‘officially’! -m-
