not your everyday shoes
Laura here again–Melanie is in Dallas at a photo workshop.
I L-O-V-E love sparkly shoes! In my past life I was around shoes everyday –you think they would have grown old on me, but no, I still love them. I love to see what they look like on other people –I’m amazed at the shoes other people are able to wear that would cripple me in 30 seconds. Unfortunately, my life is not the kind where I get to wear these kinds of killer fantastic shoes on a regular basis. You would think this would stop me from buying them, but sadly, no. What are guest bedroom closets for anyway? Getting married helped with my shoe obsession –I’d much rather buy furniture or decor items for the house now, but I still like to look when the catalogs come in the mail!
I love to see the different kinds of shoes brides choose for their special day. I really like the trend of wearing colored shoes –my aunt wore a great pair of pink heels under her gown when she got married a few years ago, a bride we had this season had beautiful white silk peep-toes that were blue on the soles! I thought that was a nice way to get your something blue…my wedding shoes were, of course, sparkly –off white silk with a low heel, but the toe box was covered in teeny tiny sequins –perfect for me. I think I’m trying to makeup for a childhood of not being girly. -laura-
