chloe + shea

Chloeshea
i'd been anticipating this wedding for a while – she's the sweet sister of a favorite client of mine and so to see a crowd of guests with lots of familiar faces was a huge treat.  chloe is a sweet aunt (her nieces a-d-o-r-e her – the image on the bottom right is a note from charlotte saying she's 'super fantastic') and she and shea have such big hearts.  the lovely thing about marriage is that you can see that instead of 1+1 equaling 2, somehow it becomes magnified and 1+1 equals so much more than two. chloe & shea, with my everything, thank you for the chance to document your gorgeous wedding. it was such a pleasure! -m-

image notes:
2nd row, left image: chloe had such a unique vision for her flowers/decor…her bouquet had mint in it and smelled incredibly wonderful!
3rd row, left image: shea picked chloe up when he first saw her that day…there are lots of feelings about whether or not to have a private moment before the ceremony but i love that he was so excited that he lifted her off the ground (something that definitely couldn't have happened in the church!)
5th row, middle image: cordelia, a beloved niece, examining the polaroids by candlelight

wedding notes:
planning: mackenzie @ one fine day (magnificent!)
ceremony: st. paul
reception: marriott's griffin gate resort
cake: martines
flowers: suzi hjorth @ magnolia suzihjorth@yahoo.com

p.s. fall sessions are well underway – if you'd like one, please contact us quickly!  we have just 4 options for scheduling left for september and 8 6 left for october. we will be full when those are half gone. can't wait to see you in your cute sweaters!

molly + chad

Molly+chad
molly and chad couldn't be more fun…although the time i've spent with them represents only a tiny fraction of their lives, i feel as though i know quite a bit about them from documenting their wedding.  molly is smarter than you could ever guess and chad is funnier than you'd ever imagine…i picture them on sunday mornings 50 years from now reading the paper and i'm guessing that molly will still tilt her head in her adorable way when chad says something that makes her laugh.  when together they seem to sing the same tune…happy.  totally happy.

wedding notes:
planning: one fine day (they did an a-m-a-z-i-n-g job!)
location: beaumont presbyterian, marriott's bluegrass pavilion
flowers:bonnie dowler @ Stems (859.252.5601)
cake: donut days (859.277.9414)

p.s. don't miss the shot on the middle right where chad discovers all his groomsmen have piled into a tiny cabin on the children's playground at the church (i think there are at least 5 groomsmen in there)

a happy marriage is a long conversation which always seems too short. [andre maurois]

miriam

Miriam2
i have so many shoots to catch up on – but for starters, let me start with miriam.  brilliant, beautiful mom is so great about planning shoots with miriam.  for this one, we took it easy and played in the backyard – we got so many great ones of the family but this is a favorite…i love snuggly babies!

i absolutely adore this family – and each time i see them, i feel like i'm being invited into a happy little bubble of family love.  miriam is a *dream* baby – smiley, happy, content…  thank you, maria & dan, it's so so fun to see your family grow!  -m-

p.s. dan, i hope the iron man competition went well!
