what a beautiful fall it is!  we're proofing lots of great sessions and here's a peek at the dog days of summer [limited edition] session – it was such a fun day full of slobber and happy happy dogs! 

by the end of the day, laura and i were both blissfully exhausted from chasing, making funny sounds and wooing the cutest canines with treats from bluegrass barkery…we slept well with smiles on our faces from the fun of creating images for those who adore their sweet pooches!

1-2 children (or you and a child!), for additional siblings please add $25 per child…since these will be outside, we'd prefer children bundled in warm winter wear – especially hats.

in 4 weeks, we'll present 3-4 too-cute images in a special online gallery.  since it's so close to the holidays, we won't be able to make prints available in time for christmas delivery but if you let us know when booking that you'd like to pre-pay for our digital file set* we can ship those out just prior to christmas.

oh goodness, major gushing ahead…melanie mauer hearts katie garner, that's for sure.  so as she came in from idaho to intern this summer, betwixt various projects, we bounced around hundreds of ideas for her wedding.  not many more things are more fun than that!!  i mean, what could make a photographer who sees cute wedding things all the time feel *more* useful?  ahh, like there's a reason for the wedding rolodex in my head!  she took it all in, made it reflect her and thomas and created the loveliest evening. i love who these two are through and through…and happy as a peach that i could be there for some wonderful moments.

i've been lucky enough to photograph sofia a number of times – but this time i had a special directive to photograph this family as they are, doing what they do.  which is what each session is about but this time  I really stood back to watch them carry on a typical evening.  so we went on a walk in their neighborhood, to a nearby playground, then they ate a bit of dinner al fresco and finished the evening with some ice cream.  a perfect. late. summer. day. 

i love this family – they've become dear friends so anytime with them is treasured. and they are some of the best i know at 'being' friends.  i love the sense of family that resides in their home, the hilarious things sofia is coached to say from susannah, that they were green way before it was cool, that they know nyc like the back of their hands and make the best travel partners…i feel better for my time spent in their company.
