one of the happiest things happening in my life is getting to see clients again and again…i love the thought of creating a "collection" of images that will help them remember their life. i appreciate that they pause from their busy lives to live in front of the camera for an hour or so.
emily & chad will have my affection forever – i remember meeting them whilst they were engaged and learning that chad flew in from dallas so many weekends to see emily (while she was here in grad school) that he probably lost count. and that they were serious foodies…so I passed along my most favorite restaurant on the entire planet. it's where jason and i celebrate birthdays, and enjoy brunches on happy occasions – plus, dear friends introduced us to it so i mentioned it hoping it would make one of their weekends even better. i was thrilled when they went and loved it enough to wed on the front porch. fast forward a few years later and on their annual trip to kentucky from atlanta to enjoy the fall and keeneland, we have a great session – and driving to the shoot i can't help but remember all the amazing details from their wedding. as much as i hope that my memory will be true to every blessed and beautiful moment, it's beause of their photos that i remember how i felt seeing emily & her mom round a big tree while she walked her down the aisle and so many other details. and because i shared that day with them, i feel absoluely connected to their wonderful love for each other…so when a little baby arrives, i jump with glee. we played, we got caught up, and of course, i fell in love with their new son – who lucky for me, loves the camera (and the camera so loves him). -m-
p.s. our baby, it's cold outside [limited edition] sessions are filling up quickly…let us know it that's on your to-do list, just 7 spots left!

smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other – it doesn't matter who it is – and that will help you grow up in greater love for each other. [mother teresa]
