hello, happy tuesday

i’ve always had a little soft spot for short wedding dresses.
they certainly don’t work for every wedding but when i saw this one recently, i thought i’d pass it along
(on her post she’s also got a great link to gloves, shoes and a fascinator).
this could make a great ‘going away’ outfit as well!

i have some dreamy travel coming up that i’m so excited about and as such, the calendar is getting full…
if you’re thinking of a summer session, please write soon!

the cutest girls ever from a bridal shoppe in nashville are in nyc for the bridal market -

kerri + scott

a favorite wedding of 2008 – kerri photographs weddings herself so when she asked me to photograph her intimate ceremony in a tiny stone chapel in rural indiana i was blushing.  it’s so nice to walk into a wedding day, meet a couple for the very first time in this case,  and hope to photograph them forever and ever.  we started the day at a darling bed & breakfast, then traveled to kerri’s SO cute home in the c-u-t-e-s-t louisville neighborhood (kerri, may i come hang out on your front porch swing?) for a few images of her family there and of the pretty tree-lined street scapes and finally we were off to the ceremony.  even though this was in november the skies were blue and the air was comfortably warm…
and the trees took my breath away!

i love how a tiny chapel can allow the guests to be so close – close enough to feel the abundance of love, see the look so clearly that a groom has when his bride walks in.  just remembering it feels like a dream :)  after the ceremony, they brought their guests back to the yummiest restaurant that i’m hopeful to go back to – they were so nice and invited me in to see their great kitchen where the food was being prepared and too-nice kerri sent me home with a dinner that i adored!!  oh, kerri -
i just figured out our “post-wedding, your photographer is having withdrawals from your sweetness, afternoon get-together”!! we can dine at the patron and *then* swing on your porch swing ;)

kerri & scott, thank you for welcoming me into your life for a beautiful day!  -m-

baby it’s cold outside [ limited edition ] mini session

it's fun to share a tiny peek at the fun we had at the baby, it's cold outside [limited edition] mini session!  i was so impressed at all the thoughtful ways clients participated – one grandmother loves to be photographed with each of her grandchildren (isn't that the best thing? think of the momento the child will always have of that love!), one mom thought a mini session would work well for a super brief senior shoot (clark – you're fantastic!)…loved seeing all the darling hats & mittens!

thank you again and again to everyone who bundled up and joined us!  -m-
