new bluegrass wedding/reception location: ardmore farm, versailles ky

i recently toured an incredible spot for weddings and had to pass it along in case anyone out there is struggling to find a gorgeous spot for their wedding.  ardmore farm in versailles is stunning…let me take you on a little tour :)  you pass this pretty creek as you enter the property and drive over a stone bridge.

ceremony location possibility

reception/cocktail hour option:  barn with a suite for the bride & groom
ceremony site #1 from afar (fyi: fields are available for a tented reception)

ceremony possibility #2

See why i had to share?  It really took my breath away.  So, here’s contact information…Ivey Henton (iveyhenton@aol.com)…and since it’s *just* become available (website is still in the works), there’s so much more flexibility for 2011 dates.  It’s so quiet you feel like you’re tucked away in your own world.  Hope you’re having the best Tuesday!  warmly, -melanie-

update: 01/20/2012…Ardmore has a new owner and is not longer hosting events.

quote of the day

away on an adventure

i’ve been away on an adventure this last week and a travelogue of the trip is here…feeling inspired by the change in scenery & soul stirring friendship.

In the greatest confusion there is still an open channel to the soul.

It may be difficult to find because by mid-life it is overgrown…but the channel is always there,

and it is our business to keep it open, to have access to the deepest part of ourselves. [ saul bellow ]

i love the refreshment that comes from grand adventures…as i stepped out of the cabin on my way home, i paused to savor the sweet smell of the air and make a mental memory.  incalculable thanks to sarah and millie for planning such a great trip to moab for us :)  xoxo
