We had way too much fun at our photo session with you.  I came home from a hectic week away traveling on business super STRESSED! I knew I had to get my four year old’s photos done but was not feeling like family pictures. You were so relaxing and worked with Seth so well. You made it so much fun for our family.

Thank you Melanie for making this a fun day!!! One we will remember for a lifetime with your beautiful pictures you captured. I am so happy with your awesome work. You captured my four year old at his best.  My husband has been in remission with cancer for 2 years so these photos mean so much to us.

You were quick to offer up other suggestion when one position or setting just wasn’t working quite right … And that’s the best thing about working with MMP — you feel like you have your best friend behind the lens making sure everything looks just right and capturing it all.

The best part of working with Melanie Mauer was every part!  From our initial meeting in her lovely workspace, both my husband and I knew that our wedding would be in good hands.  She asked such thoughtful questions about the type of day we would like (not just the type of photos we would like) and was really present in the conversation.  We knew right away that she was the only person we would like to have as our photographer.  On the day of the event the best part was the calm and organized way that she (and her team) approached the event.  They were never intrusive but I also feel like they didn’t miss a single important moment.  Melanie had wonderful ideas about what might make a lovely setting or pose but was very aware of people’s time and didn’t keep the whole group waiting or doing the same thing endlessly.  In many ways our picture session with our extended family was the most lovely part of the day because it was so relaxed and fun.

We were surprised by how GORGEOUS the pictures were!  We knew they would be lovely but they exceeded all expectations.  My husband and I were both so surprised by the number of really lovely and different photos we received and found ourselves saying “aw, I can’t believe she caught that!”.  Also, at one point, Melanie had the idea to go to the middle of Richmond Road in the tree lined median and we sort of looked at her like “well, ok” and in the end she was completely right, they are the most beautiful pictures of the whole bunch.  The amazing part is that through film she literally captured how we felt that day, I didn’t think was possible but it is true!

Out of all the things that you put money into for a wedding, our money spent on Melanie Mauer’s time and photos was by far the best money we spent.  And I feel like we made a lovely new friend to boot!
